PMCO is hiring a VP Operations in the Metal Stamping Industry in Mount Prospect, IL!

Salary: $150k

Location: Mount Prospect, IL

Relocation: Offered, as needed

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct Production, Toolroom, Maintenance, and Materials Department activities through subordinate supervisors
  • MUST HAVE 5 YEARS METAL STAMPING EXPERIENCE
  • Plan cost-effective utilization of resources based on production schedules
  • Analyze production flow, troubleshoot delays, and resolve issues
  • Modify production schedules for high priority jobs and integrate them into the material requirements planning system
  • Develop and implement methods to reduce costs and improve quality
  • Establish monitoring systems to control production flow
  • Negotiate major raw material purchases and establish cost-saving goals
  • Motivate and develop employee skills, acting as a mentor/coach
  • Resolve customer and sales representative problems, promoting company resources
  • Develop communication and cooperation between departments
  • Evaluate staff performance, ensure policy adherence, and recommend employee status changes

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of related manufacturing experience
  • MUST HAVE 5 YEARS METAL STAMPING EXPERIENCE
  • At least four (4) years of managerial experience with project management responsibilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and knowledge of manufacturing systems (ERP or MRP)
  • Strong team-building, mentoring, and motivational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949:2002, LEAN Manufacturing principles preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to represent the company internally and externally
